🎨 Devlog: From Sketches to Emotions — Behind the Scenes of Our Anime Character Pack

Hi everyone!
We’re excited to finally release our Emotive Anime Character Pack — something we’ve been working on for quite a while, and it’s been a true labor of love.

This pack was originally born out of a visual novel idea we were prototyping. We needed expressive, relatable anime characters — not just with different clothes, but with real emotions that could carry a scene. So instead of using auto-generated expressions or AI faces, we drew every pose and face by hand.

✍️ Hand-drawn with storytelling in mind

Each character — Emmy, Haruka, Hitomi, Mia, Ren, and Saori — was designed to feel distinct. Their clothes reflect different moods (casual, themed, swimsuit), but most importantly, each expression was carefully crafted to support narrative beats:

• Joyful scenes

• Awkward romantic moments

• Sudden anger or tension

• Light-hearted surprise

We didn’t want just “smiley” or “angry” faces — we wanted personality in the eyes, in the tilt of the head, in every blush or glare. And we redrew many expressions multiple times until they felt right.

• Multiple outfits per character (including swimsuits)

• 4 facial expressions for each outfit

• 88 PNG illustrations in total

• High resolution (3159 × 4096)

• Transparent background for easy integration
